The rally and its message were very interesting. Of course, as with any event, the official presentation from the organizers and the attendees can be reasonably divergent without raising suspicion, but in this case either the organizers or the attendees are being deceptive. After spending the day and listening to the official line we have come to the conclusion that the attendees represent the worldview of the "movement" more than the official line, because their communication with signs and interviews was so consistent. The message of the rally was clear: conservative politicians and pundits are clowns, stupid, sometimes evil; and everyone should stop taking themselves and their 'political battles' so seriously (chill out, smoke a joint, everything is going to be o.k.). Alternate names for the rally would be more descriptive of its character: "The 'Useful Idiots' Rally" "The rally to demonize Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and Christine O'Donnell", "The Rally to Rebrand Leftism as Moderate", or "The Rally to Replace Sanity with Cynicism"
